CHED Turns Over PPE to CTU – Danao CIDFab

Danao City, Cebu — August 14, 2025 — In a move to further campus safety and operational readiness, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) formally turned over a set of Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE) to Cebu Technological University – Danao Campus under the CHED OPRKM-IDIG Project titled “Establishment of the Center for Industrial and Digital Fabrication.”

The turnover began with an on-site inspection and tagging of the PPEs at the Center for Industrial and Digital Fabrication (CIDFab) Building, ensuring that each item was accounted for, properly labeled, and ready for deployment.

During the turnover ceremony, CTU – Danao Campus Director Dr. Rose Mary L. Almacen delivered an inspiring welcome message, setting a positive tone for the event. Engr. Christine Omela V. Ocampo, Project Leader of the CHED OPRKM-IDIG Project, emphasized the vital role of the PPEs in safeguarding the university community. Representing CHED, Ms. Rossana B. Garcia, Administrative Officer V of HEDF, reaffirmed the commission’s unwavering support for CTU’s continued growth and development.

A ceremonial singing of turnover documents and a symbolic handover of the PPEs marked the official transfer. Accepting the equipment on behalf of University President Dr. Joseph C. Pepito and Vice President for Research and Development Dr. Pet Roey Pascual, OIC-University Director for R&D Christine M. Corrales expressed CTU’s deep appreciation to CHED and project partners for their steadfast commitment.

This turnover not only provides the campus with vital resources but also reinforces the strong partnership between CHED and CTU – Danao in fostering a secure, resilient, and progressive academic environment for students, faculty, and staff.
