Cebu Technological University-Danao Campus formally received the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for five key programs: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Industrial Engineering (BSIE), Civil Engineering (BSCE), and Information Technology (BSIT) on September 8, 2025. This milestone follows comprehensive onsite validations conducted earlier this year on June 3 and 19, along with a thorough evaluation by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) and the Technical Team for Engineering.
CHED awarded the COPC to the BSEE, BSME, and BSIT programs on August 8, 2025, while the BSIE and BSCE programs received theirs on September 2, 2025. The COPC confirms full compliance with CHED’s Policies, Standards, and Guidelines (PSG), as mandated under Republic Act No. 7722, or the “Higher Education Act of 1994.” This legislation ensures that higher education institutions maintain consistent and high-quality academic and operational standards nationwide.
The awardees underwent evaluation based on several CHED memoranda—particularly CHED Memorandum Nos. 88, 97, 96, 92 (all series 2017), and No. 25 series of 2015—ensuring their curricula and facilities meet rigorous quality benchmarks.
The certificates were formally received by Dr. Jose Marie M. Anoos, Officer-in-Charge Dean of Instruction, together with the College of Engineering (COE) Dean and BSEE Chair Engr. Tomashita P. Arenas, College of Technology (COT) Dean Dr. Marsan P. Dua, BSME Chair Engr. Amadito P. Buot, BSIE Chair Dr. Donald R. Lalican, and BSCE Chair Engr. Jayson G. Bayogo at the CHED Region 7 Office in Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City.
This achievement underscores CTU-Danao’s commitment to providing industry-relevant, quality education. The College of Engineering and the College of Technology affirm their dedication to preparing graduates who are competent, adaptable, and ready to meet the evolving demands of local and global technology sectors.
