CTU-Danao Brings CPD-Accredited PAR Training in Liloan

The Doctor of Education in Educational Management and Development students, under the community extension project of Dr. Lislee C. Valle’s Madali Maging MATHalino: Teachers’ Training Program”, successfully facilitated a two-day training on Designing Participatory Action Research (PAR) for in-service teachers on September 13-14, 2025 at St. John Bosco-Cotcot National High School, Liloan, Cebu.

The training was guided by Dr. Sylvester Cortes, a global research scholar, who provided valuable insights into designing and implementing PAR as a tool for reflective practice and continuous professional growth.

The sessions aimed to equip educators with the technical skills needed to integrate technology effectively in their classrooms, enhance their pedagogical approaches to improve student learning outcomes, and develop their capacity to conduct action research for continuous instructional improvement.

Adding to its significance, the program was recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Council of Professional Teachers, granting participants 10 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units.

Through initiatives like this, CTU-Danao continues to empower educators with innovative strategies, bridging academic expertise and community service to foster sustainable educational development.
