The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) Mathematics faculty of Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus, under the community extension project of Dr. Gerly A. Alcantara, successfully rolled out โ๐๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐: ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌโ on September 12, 2025, at Arcelo Memorial National High School (AMNHS), Liloan, Cebu.
The program introduced the Trachtenberg system as an innovative approach to simplifying algebraic concepts, aimed at strengthening learners’ mathematical skills and building their confidence in problem-solving. The initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Gerly A. Alcantara with the invaluable support of CTU-Danao’s BSEd Mathematics professorsโDr. Bysche R. Rivera, Dr. Gamaliel G. Gonzales, and Dr. Lislee C. Valleโalongside committed faculty members of the institution.
The project was made possible through the partnership with the administration of Arcelo Memorial National High School (AMNHS), led by Principal II, Dr. Hipolito Q. Pegarido, and Assistant School Principal II, Ma’am Anna Liza B. Abucay, whose steadfast support and assistance were vital to the successful implementation of the program. The activity’s impact was further enriched by the active participation of AMNHS faculty members: Sir Reynoel M. Pasaje, Ma’am Salvie P. Pescador, Ma’am Marivic A. Daarol, Ma’am Jenelyn A. Mondigo, Sir Noel Niรฑo F. Valle, and Ma’am Jessel L. Montecalvo.
Through this initiative, CTU-Danao continues to fulfill its commitment to advancing quality education by bridging academic expertise with community service, equipping learners with innovative tools to thrive in mathematics and beyond.
