Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus, through its Production Office, conducted a Basic Food Safety Training on September 25, 2025, in collaboration with the City Health Services of Danao City. The training aimed to strengthen the participants’ understanding of food, safety, sanitation, and basic food preparation techniques.
The activity featured resource speakers Dr. David Thomas B. Villon and Ms. Rose Ann M. Juntilla, RN, who shared their expertise on proper food handling practices and health standards in promoting overall well-being.
Participants of the seminar included professors and faculty members from the College of Education, Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering, College of Management and Entrepreneurship, and College of Technology, as well as clinic nurses and canteen staff. Their active involvement underscored the university’s commitment to ensuring food safety not only within academic settings but also in support services that directly affect the CTU community.
The training’s outcomes are expected to guide participants in applying safe and efficient food practices in their respective roles, further reflecting CTU Danao’s Dedication to promoting health, wellness, and community-centered learning.
