Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus actively participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), conducting a coordinated simulation that reinforced essential safety protocols such as “duck, cover, and hold” on March 12, Thursday.
Students, faculty, and staff across the campus took part in the drill, demonstrating proper emergency response procedures as part of the university’s continued commitment to safety and disaster preparedness.
The activity was spearheaded by the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Quick Response Team (QRT), led by Rosalito Juda V. Eboa and assisted by Dr. Delfa G. Castilla, Gender and Development (GAD) Chair and National Service Training Program (NSTP) Coordinator. The drill was further supported by the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), ensuring an organized and systematic execution of emergency protocols.





The simulation was conducted in accordance with National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Memorandum No. 15, s. 2026, which mandates the conduct of the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. The initiative aims to strengthen institutional readiness and to promote an effective, coordinated response in the event of seismic hazards.
Through its active participation, CTU Danao reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the well-being ot its students, faculty, and personnel, while fostering a culture of preparedness, resilience, and proactive disaster risk management.
