CHED Conducts Monitoring, Evaluation Visit at CTU Danao Graduate School

Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus welcomed the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Monitoring and Evaluation Team on Monday, March 16, for assessment of its Graduate School programs.

The CHED team, led by Dr. Bernard Sena Pantonilla, Education Supervisor II, was joined by fellow Education Supervisors II Dr. Monshyne D. Cabual and Dr. Elna Ballista Sabornido. The visit aimed to evaluate the campus’s compliance with prescribed minimum requirements for the establishment and delivery of Graduate School programs.

The activity formally opened with a welcome message from Campus Director Dr. Rose Mary L. Almacen, who greeted the CHED evaluators, university officials, and members of the Graduate School faculty. This was followed by the introduction of the CHED evaluation panel by Dr.Decem C. Suladay, SPMS Planning Officer.

Graduate School Dean Dr. Gerly A. Alcantara then introduced the program chairpersons and faculty members, who presented their respective programs. These included the Doctor of Education in Educational Management and Development presented by Dr. Lislee C. Valle; the Master of Arts in Education major in Administration and Supervision by Dr. Christeodoflor A. Ramos; the Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics by Dr. Gerly A. Alcantara; the Master of Arts in Education major Teaching Science by Dr. Romel C. Mutya; and the Master of Technology and Vocational Education major in Home Economics Technology by Dr. Jacqueline R. Dela Cruz.

Following the presentation, the CHED Monitoring and Evaluation Team conducted a comprehensive document review and program verification. The evaluation process involved a detailed examination of institutional records and program-related documents to ensure compliance with national standards.

The visit concluded with a post-conference, during which the CHED evaluators presented their findings and provided feedback to the university.

The monitoring and evaluation activity underscores CTU Danao’s continued commitment to maintaining quality assurance and strengthening its graduate education programs in line with national standards, while advancing its vision of becoming a premier, multidisciplinary university and fulfilling its mission to provide accessible, high-quality, and globally competitive education responsive to the needs of industry and society.
