The Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus held a send-off celebration on March 23, 2026, in recognition of German volunteer Ms. Lucinda Abamonga, who successfully completed her volunteer service with the University. The activity was organized through the collaborative efforts of the Extension and Production Office and the Internationalization and ASEAN Integration (IAI). Ms. Abamonga officially departed the country on March 27, 2026, following the completion of her engagement.
The simple gathering was conducted to express appreciation for Ms. Abamonga’s active involvement and commitment during her stay. Faculty members and staff conveyed their gratitude for her contributions to various university intiatives and her enthusiastic participation in campus activities.



On March 6, 2026, Ms. Abamonga’s family and a friend from Germany visited the University and paid a courtesy call to the Campus Director, Dr. Rosemary L. Almacen, together with Atty. Joelie Marie Medalle. The visit reflected the strong cultural ties and meaningful connections fostered throughout her volunteer experience.
During her service, Ms. Abamonga contributed to academic and extension-related programs, particularly in extension initiatives, language engagement, cultural exchange, and student interaction activities. Her involvement supported the university’s efforts in promoting global awareness and strengthening its extension services through intercultural collaboration.
The volunteer engagement highlighted the significance of international partnerships in enhancing educational experiences and fostering mutual understanding among diverse communities. Through her interactions with students and personnel, Ms. Abamonga contributed to creating a more globally responsive learning environment.






Following the successful completion of her service, Ms. Abamonga departed the Philippines on March 27, 2026, returning to her home country. The CTU Danao community extended its sincere appreciation and best wishes for her future endeavors, with hopes of sustaining connecitons and future collaborations.
