Faculty members and extensionists from Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao Campus earned recognition at the 2026 PAEPI Central Visayas Chapter International Extension Symposium and Technology Forum (IESTF) held on May 20-22, 2026, at the CTU Main Campus CebuTech Gymnatorium.
Anchored in sustainable development and community empowerment, the event brought together local and international scholars and extension practitioners to showcase evidence-based initiatives and best practices in extension and applied research.





Leading the recognition, Dr. Donald R. Lalican, faculty member of the College of Engineering (COE), together with the CTU Danao Extension and Research team, was awarded Best Researcher Presenter (First Place) and placed Best Poster Award (Third Place) for their study “Evaluating Community Acceptance and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of the Mobile Treatment Devices in Barangay Lupa, Compostela, Cebu.”
The study assessed both the operational efficiency and community acceptance of mobile treatment devices using the OEE framework, highlighting the importance of integrating technical performance evaluations with community engagement in extension projects.
The recognition affirms CTU Danao’s continued commitment to impactful, data-driven research and community-centered extension initiatives that promote sustainable development.
