Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Danao Campus held the first of a series of meetings for the Presentation of Committee Plans, Programs, and Proposals on June 25, 2026, in the Conference Room of the Campus Director’s Office.
The half-day strategic planning session brought together committee chairpersons, vice chairpersons, focal persons, and committee members to review accomplishments, strengthen institutional coordination, and align future initiatives with the University’s strategic priorities.
The Office of the Campus Director organized a series of meetings to reinforce the roles of the University’s environmental and disaster resilience committees and to provide a venue for collaborative planning and evidence-based decision-making. Participants discussed committee mandates, organizational structures, ongoing initiatives, proposed programs and projects, and operational resource requirements in preparation for forthcoming campus implementation activities.
For the first day, the Sanitation Committee and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Committee presented their respective plans, programs, and proposals.
The Sanitation Committee discussed initiatives to strengthen campus cleanliness, promote hygiene, protect health, raise sanitation awareness, and monitor facilities. The committee also presented proposed policies, including Clean As You Go, campus waste segregation, No Student Leaves Garbage Behind, and a prohibition on plastic water bottles, to promote a cleaner and more responsible campus environment.
Meanwhile, the DRRM Committee presented preparedness and response mechanisms focused on hazard identification, emergency planning, communication systems, evacuation protocols, training activities, and disaster response policies. These initiatives aim to strengthen the campus’s readiness and capacity to respond effectively during emergencies.
Beyond presenting accomplishments and ongoing initiatives, participants identified institutional priorities, proposed policies, implementation directions, and resource requirements needed to achieve the committees’ objectives.
Campus officials encouraged the committees to strengthen inter-office collaboration, establish measurable performance indicators, and ensure that proposed plans and projects support the University’s commitment to safe, sustainable, resilient, and quality-driven governance.
Through this strategic planning initiative, CTU-Danao Campus continues to strengthen its environmental governance framework by empowering its committees to implement responsive, sustainable, and collaborative programs to create a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible academic community.
