Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science

The Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science (BSEd – Science) is a four-year degree program that prepares future educators to effectively teach science subjects at the secondary level. It emphasizes a deep understanding of scientific concepts, the application of scientific inquiry in teaching, and the utilization of effective science teaching and assessment methods. Program Educational Objectives

PEO 1. Highly-Skilled Classroom Facilitator. Secondary Teacher who manifests the desire to continuously pursue personal and professional development, specializing in the content and pedagogy for secondary education in the context of Inclusive Education, Education for Sustainable Development and Fourth Industrial Revolution. PEO 2. Ethically-Imbued Educational Leader. Secondary Teacher-leader who demonstrates in-depth understanding of learner diversity in the realm of 21st Century Education, possessing the core values of Commitment, Transparency, Unity, Professionalism, Integrity, Excellence and Spirituality. PEO 3. Service-Oriented Professional. An English language secondary teacher who demonstrates service orientation and use of tools and technology (SMART) to accelerate learning and teaching through generation of new knowledge in the teaching arena. PEO 4.
