On November 25, 2025, John Lester earned a remarkable victory after securing 1st Place in the 40th National Civil Engineering Student’s Quiz (Finals)—a prestigious competition participated in by contenders from across the country. This milestone highlights his outstanding mastery of civil engineering concepts and his unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

Further elevating his distinction, John Lester also achieved 5th Place among the Most Outstanding Civil Engineering Students nationwide, affirming his position as one of the Philippines’ most promising and accomplished future engineers.

Accompanying him on this significant achievement was Engr. John Renel Capillanes, Chairperson of the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) Program, whose support and mentorship have contributed greatly to this success.
