In June 2018, a memorandum of agreement was signed by 7th District Rep. Peter John D. Calderon, Cebu Technological University (CTU) President Rosein A. Ancheta Jr. and Ginatilan Mayor Dean Michael P. Singco, for the creation of CTU Ginatilan in the southwestern municipality of Ginatilan, Cebu.
CTU Ginatilan initially offered a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) program. By 2019, a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology major in Computer Technology was added to the degree program offerings.
In addition to the existing campus building provided by the LGU of Ginatilan, Cebu, an additional 3-story, 9 classroom-building was donated by Senator Sonny Angara. One of the objectives of CTU Ginatilan is to be positioned as a center of technology and engineering higher learning institution in Southwest-Cebu. The management of the Campus is looking forward to future expansions, with the help of benefactors, in realizing the mandate of CTU to the community.
