Cebu Technological University (CTU) was awarded by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) for Top Registered Utility Model (UM) and Top Utility Model Filer institution with the highest UM registered and filed from 2009-2018. This recognition makes a brand for CTU, having nationally recognized higher education institutions in the country contributed much to the generation of science and technology-based Intellectual Property (IP). The award was given on the 26th of April 2019. Anent to this, the OUP has contributed 30% of the total number of registered IP assets.
