Essay writing and digital poster contest won during the National Science month

Welgrace Rodriguez, BSED Science 1-B student, got the first prize in an essay writing contest. She said, “I feel overwhelmed and somewhat happy because I’m just a neophyte, and when I was writing and submitting my entry, I was not expecting anything. I just wanted to try and pursue my love in essay writing.” Moreover, Jake Sala,  BSME 1-A, got second place while Roselyn Monsay, BS ECE Engineering 1-G, won the third prize.

For the digital poster-making contest, Kenneth Barron Mijares, BS Mechanical Engineering 1-A, won. He said, “I barely just learned to draw on a cellphone with my thumbs on that. It was a great experience for me being a first-timer to join the contest and to create a digital poster.” This event had a theme, “Impulse Science clubbers at the fore of shifting paradigms”. Activities also included webinars on citizen science, social media as a tool of change, and science clubbing for the students and faculty.
