
The CTU- Main College of Education participated in the 12th Midyear Convention of the Philippine Association for Teachers & Educators (PAFTE), Inc. with the theme “Innovation: Where Collaboration, Creativity, and Technology Meet” on May 20-21, 2022, via zoom
The said event was a full-packed two-day activity that 64 CTU faculty members attended.
On May 20, 2022, the speakers who imparted their knowledge were Prof. Christine Goh, Rev. Fr. Glenn Paul M. Gomez, SVD, Prof. Maria Hazelle Preclaro-Ongtengco, Dr. Sheile Marie G. Hocson, Dr. Emma T. Melgarejo, Hon. Rosita L. Navarro, Dr. Edison A. Fermin and Dr. Runvi V. Manguerra.
Furthermore, Mr. Galvin Radley Ngo, Dr. Mercedes A. Macarandang, Dr. Nelia G. Prieto, Dr. Jennie V. Jocson, Dr. Felina P. Espique, Dr. Deletah DG. Polinar, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., Dr. Diosdado San Antonio, Ms. Lianne Flameno-Dominguez, Dr. Allan Q. Del Rosario and Ms. Editha T. David were the resource speakers during the second and final day (May 21, 2022).
The convention intends to let the educators describe at least one creative and one collaborative teaching-learning strategy with the use of technology, state even one lesson learned on mental health and wellness, describe one innovative practice in implementing Field Study and Teaching Internship, one update from each of the partners, and give one shared teaching experience and its implication to teacher education.
This yearly convention updates teachers and educators to keep abreast of the recent development and technologies for quality teaching-learning in Philippine education.
