CTU partners with UPM for Gender and Development Research Project

The Cebu Technological University – Research and Development Office and the University of the Philippines – Mindanao Research team join a collaborative meeting for future and possible partnership on Gender and Development (GAD) research in Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources, on September 29, 2022, at CN Bldg., CTU-Main.

The UP-Mindanao Research Team visits various Universities for their 

Research Project entitled “Annotated Compendium of Gender and Development Research in Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources (AANR) Towards Developing the ANNR Gender and Development, and Development Research; and Development Agenda Framework.”

The Philippine Council funded the said initiative for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PCAARRD), and the UPM research team were the ones who implemented it in schools or universities all over the Philippines to build partnerships and to expand the cause further that they are promoting as well.

Furthermore, the aforementioned event was also participated by the selected CTU key officials, faculty and staff headed by Dr. Archiebald Baltazar B. Malaki, the Vice-President for Research and Development, and Dr. Marlou C. Godinez, University Director for GAD.

Also present during the event were Engr. Teresita B. Capin, Prof. Honey Lyn R. Gomez, Dr. Anthony S. Ilano, Dr. Edgardo P. Lillo, Prof. Arnel G. Nudalo, Dr. Maximino R. Abejo III, Engr. Jeremy P. Mondejar, Mr. Pet Roey L. Pascual, Ms. Princes Rose Manuta, Ms. Sarah Taneo, and Ms. Christine M. Corrales.

CTU is one of the institutions in the Province of Cebu that strongly advocates the preservation of biodiversity, providing innovative technologies in agriculture, protecting marine life and other aquatic resources, and studying anthropogenic activities. It did not hesitate to share the same vision and be part of the project.
