On February 22, 2023, a momentous event occurred at the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of Tuburan, Cebu. The College of Education-CTU-Main, in partnership with Barangay Sto. Niño, Tuburan, officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the proposed extension project entitled “SAPKA: Sangtruaryo Protektahan para sa Kaugmaon Program.”
The MOA signing ceremony united key stakeholders committed to the project’s success. Hon. Rowel P. Gemparo, the Barangay Captain, led the members of the Barangay Council in attendance. Representing CTU-Main were Esperanza Del Fierro, the project head. Dr. Fe Varona, a project member, and Extension Chair, Dr. Jabin Deguma, with the unwavering support of College Dean Dr. Reylan G. Capuno.
The signing of the MOA symbolizes the mutual dedication and collaboration between the College of Education-CTU-Main and Barangay Sto. Niño, Tuburan, to effectively implement the SAPKA program. This extension project aims to create a sanctuary that protects and nurtures the community’s future, emphasizing the importance of sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
