On Friday, January 12, 2024, Cebu Technological University (CTU) took part in the Sinulog Festival 2024 launching parade in Cebu City. This lively event was part of the yearly Sinulog Festival celebration, where various activities are featured.
The parade started at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño and ended at the Cebu City Sports Center. It showcased talents from different schools and universities in Cebu. The CTU contingent, particularly the selected students from CTU – Danao Campus, stood out in the street dancing segment of the Sinulog 2024 launching parade.
Led by Dr. Francisco Lucero, University Director for Culture and the Arts, the CTU performers demonstrated grace and elegance through their creative choreography. They caught the audience’s attention along the parade route on Osmeña Boulevard with their vibrant and synchronized presentation, showing dedication and skill.
Dr. Rose Mary L. Almacen, Vice-President for Student Affairs, Production, and Resource Generation, and Campus Director of CTU Danao, attended the event, adding prestige. Her presence symbolized the university’s strong support for both the event and the students participating. Dr. Almacen’s support highlighted CTU’s commitment to building a lively cultural and artistic community within the university.
