NSTP launches inclusive education session

MOALBOAL, Cebu – The National Service Training Program (NSTP) of Cebu Technological University (CTU) Moalboal Campus launched an inclusive education session to foster a more inclusive and supportive learning environment, hosted by Prof. John Paul Sario, P.E Instructor at 3rd floor College of Education (COEd) Function Hall on February 22, 2025.

The session commenced with opening remarks from Prof. Maria Amparo M. Sambrana, NSTP Coordinator, highlighting that every child, regardless of background, deserves an accessible and quality education.

Guest speakers Mr. Alphonsus Castro De Alban and Atty. Angelo Castro De Alban shared their expertise on promoting inclusivity.

Mr. Alphonsus Castro De Alban highlighted the importance of accepting and valuing individuals with special needs and persons with disabilities and ensuring their equal access to quality education.

“According to R.A. 11650, all schools, both private and public, shall not deny admission to anyone who wishes to enroll and become a student; everyone is welcome,” Mr. De Alban noted.

Afterward, Atty. Angelo Castro De Alban reminded students not to “humiliate or embarrass people because of their disability; do not be boastful, arrogant, or showy.”
