The Supreme Student Government (SSG) of Cebu Technological University (CTU) Moalboal Campus marked a new chapter through its Oath-Taking and Turnover Ceremony held on July 23, 2025, at the Industrial Engineering Function Hall. With the theme “Embracing Leadership, Honoring Legacy: Driven by Vision,” the event gathered outgoing and incoming officers to ensure a smooth leadership transition.
Dr. Catherine P. Tapales, Director of the Student Affairs Office, delivered an inspirational message emphasizing servant leadership and its lasting impact.
“Great leaders are not remembered for what they achieved for themselves, but for what they make possible for others,” she said.
Incoming SSG officers officially took their oaths of office, affirming their commitment to student service. SSG Advisers Dr. Johnry P. Dayupay and Dr. Feliciana D. Cababat also reaffirmed their roles for the 2025–2026 academic year, vowing to uphold student governance with integrity and accountability.
Outgoing SSG President Hon. Niño Noel L. Mendez delivered a heartfelt Turnover Message, highlighting lessons in leadership and sacrifice during his two-year term.
“Leadership is about sacrifice… choosing the harder path because it is the right one,” he reflected.
The ceremony concluded with messages of support from university officials, ushering in a renewed spirit of collaboration and progress under the leadership of incoming SSG President Hon. Jean Anne C. Quider.
