CTU–Moalboal Charts the Path to 2030: University Strategic Planning Orientation Concludes
MOALBOAL, CEBU — In a significant move toward long-term institutional growth, Cebu Technological University (CTU)–Moalboal officially concluded its two-day University Strategic Planning 2026–2030 Orientation on April 8, 2026. Held at the Industrial Engineering (IE) Hall, the event brought together campus leaders, faculty, and staff to align local operations with the university’s broader vision for the next four years.
Linking Performance to Vision
The second day of the orientation featured a comprehensive session led by Dr. Jana Gloria F. Almerino, Supervising Administrative Officer (SADOF) IV. Her discussion focused on the Strategic Performance Management System (SPMS), a critical framework designed to bridge the gap between individual effort and organizational success.
Dr. Almerino provided an in-depth look at the following components:
Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR): Aligning departmental targets with university goals.
Individual Performance Commitment and Review (IPCR): Ensuring every staff member’s contribution reflects the university’s strategic objectives.
The Four-Stage PMS Cycle: Highlighting the continuous nature of planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
A Focus on Teamwork and Quality
During her talk, Dr. Almerino underscored that the SPMS is not merely a technical requirement but a tool for excellence. She emphasized the importance of active leadership and peer support in the academic environment.
“Mo-encourage gyud ko nga you will conduct classroom observations… monitor teamwork and conduct of teaching,” stated Dr. Almerino, highlighting that consistent monitoring is key to maintaining high educational standards.
Moving Forward Together
The event concluded with a ceremony awarding certificates of participation and tokens to the attendees, recognizing their active engagement in the planning process.
In her closing remarks, Dr. Marivel B. Go, Assistant Campus Director, formally brought the orientation to a close. She praised the unity shown by the campus community and reaffirmed that these strategic steps are essential for CTU–Moalboal to meet its 2030 milestones. With a clear roadmap now in place, the campus stands ready to implement these strategies to better serve its students and stakeholders.
