The On-the-Job Training General Orientation of the College of Technology was held in the second-floor hallway on February 10, 2023, at the Cebu Technological University (CTU) Naga Extension Campus.
Dr. Al D. Horteza, BSIT program chair, opened the event with his welcome remarks and statement of purpose, emphasizing the significance of the OJT for graduating students to apply their knowledge acquired outside of the four walls of the classroom and get experience in the real world of work.
On the other hand, the Stages of OJT and the documentary criteria were inspiringly explained by Dr. Reah G. Fabrica, the university’s director of internships.
The job placement officers, Miss Heziel Mae T. Bocado and Miss Dona Velle T. Mantos initiated the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Orientation, as Miss Dona Velle T. Mantos also described the Industrial Linkages, together with Mr. Jan Keith Samuel P. Lucero.
Additionally, Miss Caress A. Labiste, the very skilled guidance counselor, and Miss Ofelaia A. Labrado, the well-trained GAD director, spoke on work ethics and sexual harassment in the workplace, respectively.
The resource mentioned above people inspires and motivates aspiring IT professionals to pursue their goals in the selected career path.
