CTU- NAGA culminates its ATI Tribe extension program

Cebu Technological University- Naga Extension Campus successfully implemented its extension project, Paglaum sa Tribung Ati-hanon: Literacy and Technical Training Program on September 30- December 9, 2023 to the ATI residents of Sitio, Buyo, Brgy, South Poblacion, City of Naga, Cebu.

Dr. Roselyn T. Bustos, lead proponent of the Literacy Program, Ang Akong Masulti Akong Masuwat and JD Cape Beverlyn Genobiagon, lead proponent of the Technical Program, Yawe sa Kaugmaon spearheaded the extension program. Together with Dr. Bustos and JD Genobiagon are the members of the faculty extension team to include Dr. Glenn Trinidad, Dr. Emelyn Jungoy, Ms. Rumuela Wong, Ms. Rennelie Panzo, Ms. Maria Domnena Anog, Mr. Jasmel Lastimosa, Ms. Jerah Jane Delfino and the student volunteers from BEED 3B and 3C.

The extension project provided the target beneficiaries with training in basic literacy for reading, writing, and speaking and technical skills in handicraft making. It was aimed that through the extension program the beneficiaries can generate income for their families as they are equipped with the basic literacy skills and competency in handicraft.

The activity culminated last December 16, 2023 with a short program inclusive of food packs distributed to the beneficiaries with their families and the donation of a ceiling fan and used clothing for ATI tribe children.
