𝗖𝗧𝗨 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗷𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 together with the 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (FSTLP) 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵.

This year’s theme: “𝘽𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙚 𝙨𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙚𝙠𝙩𝙤𝙧, 𝘼𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝘽𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙨 𝙨𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨” aims to empower women, promote gender equality, and ensure equitable access to resources and opportunities.

This observance is deeply rooted in the global commemoration of the International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8, a tradition born from the early 20th-century activism of women advocating for labor rights and gender equality. Between 1909 and 1911, working women in the United States, united under the National Women’s Trade Union League and other groups, rallied against low wages, insufficient protective legislation, and harsh working conditions.
