“Lit and Loud: COED Celebrates National Literature Month”

Cebu Technological University – Pinamungajan Campus, through the College of Education, hosted a vibrant celebration for National Literature Month on April 27, 2026, anchored by the formidable theme, “Buklat Panitikan: Para sa Katwiran at Kalikasan.” This dynamic celebration masterfully balanced intellectual rigor with creative flair, showcasing a diverse array of activities rooted in both local culture and international tradition, including focused essay-writing competitions, interactive art and literature exhibits, student-built cultural booths, and lush galleries. Regional heritage and environmental advocacy were further brought to life through passionate, rhythmic recitations of traditional Cebuano Balak, high-energy cultural dances, and a dazzling fashion runway showcasing elaborate ASEAN attire, leaving the campus community inspired by a shared commitment to cultural identity and ecological protection. Ultimately, the festival proved that literature at CTU-PC is a vital pulse bridging academic life with cultural heritage and environmental advocacy. Beyond the accolades, the true triumph lay in empowering future educators to find their voices. By intertwining legacy with stewardship, the College of Education reaffirmed that creative expression is a powerful tool for social responsibility, leaving an enduring imprint of pride and purpose upon the university community.
