The DOST STARBOOKS Orientation and Turnover Ceremony was conducted for the official turnover of computer sets and the STARBOOKS system to selected schools in the municipality.
STARBOOKS (Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosk System) is an offline digital library developed by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), providing access to thousands of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) resources, research materials, videos, and learning content, ideal for schools and communities with limited or no internet connectivity.
The program featured messages from Mayor Glenn F. Baricuatro and Mr. Rino Dominic Cabungcal, DOST Science Research Specialist II, underscoring the importance of accessible science and technology resources in strengthening education and digital learning.
Also present during the activity were Vice Mayor Ana Jessica A. Baricuatro and SB Chairman on Education, Hon. Lorenzo P. Niñal, showing strong local support for education and innovation initiatives.
