Research and Development Facilitates a Seminar-Workshop on Scientific Publication

The Research and Development led by Dr. Adrian Ybanez organized a writeshop for scientific publications on November 12 – 13, 2019 at the Conference Room of the E-Mixed Building, CTU Main Campus. This seminar-workshop implemented the NO MANUSCRIPT, NO PARTICIPATION POLICY. Hence, participants brought their manuscripts during the registration.

On November 12, 2019, Dr. Adrian Ybanez gave the welcome address and introduced the participants who are researchers from the different external and satellite campuses. Dr. Cristie Ann Jaca, the Managing Editor of the Journal of Agriculture and Technology Management (JATM) discussed the JATM Publication: its policies and procedures.

Dr. Sunliegh Gador, Area Editor, also provided an input on JATM Publication: Publishable Article Writing. Dr. Gador emphasized that “unpublished research is nothing.”

The writeshop followed after the input of the two facilitating editors of the said journal during the afternoon session.

Moreover, the writeshop continued on November 13, 2019 in the morning. The presentation and critiquing of outputs were accomplished in the afternoon. The revised and edited manuscripts would then be submitted for external blind review as well as undergo plagiarism check using the turn-it-in software of the university.

Faculty researchers were encouraged to publish their research projects in JATM which is indexed in the ASEAN Citation Index.

This seminar-workshop was also facilitated by the secretariat, Rhea Mae Jayag and Mary Mae Edgilez Yburan. -RMMM/CCMR
