CTU R&D invited Dr. Rotacio Gravoso as the resource speaker of the Webinar Series on Social Sciences and Education Research.
A webinar series on Social Science and Education Research in the Philippines began on July 20, 2020 via zoom with Dr. Rotacio S. Gravoso, a Professor of the Visayas State University, as the Resources Speaker during the first session with the 26 proposal presentations coming from the different campuses of the Cebu Technological University. He also served as the research consultant of the faculty researchers of CTU who submitted and presented their research proposals for the GAA Funding application. CAS Faculty members from different campuses attended the first session of the webinar series.
Dr. Adrian Ybanez said that the Office of Research and Development would like to journey with the faculty and encouraged them to leverage time by converting the skills into research. He also mentioned that Dr. Gravoso would provide feedback to help in polishing the proposals.
Furthermore, Dr. Gravoso presented the why’s and how’s of social science research and emphasized that the faculty researchers had to contribute to the body of knowledge. He also said, “when you publish, expect rejection.” He added that it is a challenge for the researchers to publish and they need to avoid rejection by writing quality research outputs.
