Cebu Technological University ranked 9th among Visayan Higher Education Institutions’ (HEIs) and independent research centers, according to SCOPUS, an online abstract and citation database for academic journals.
OIC University Director for Research and Development Lanndon Ocampo, whose research achievements contributed much to shaping the university’s publication status, could not be happier with the success he recently took to facebook.
In terms of h-Index CiteScore, SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), and Source Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP), CTU took 3rd place among Cebu universities, 13th in Visayas and Mindanao and 55th in the country, even in the face of the growing competition in the higher tier.
The ranking further looks into citations, reviews, conference papers, book chapters, and data papers published.
SCOPUS data have been relied on for other major university rankings, including the QS Top Universities ranking, the Financial Times MBA ranking, and US News & World Report’s Arab Region University ranking. UICPA
