1st IMRAD Writeshop conducted for CAS Faculty for 2019

Dr. Alma Valendez, coordinator of the English Language Studies section, spearheaded the IMRAD writeshop on October 24, 2019 in the Room 206, Engineering Building at the CTU Main Campus. This writeshop was then approved by the Literature, Language, and Communication Chairperson, Dr. Imelda Villarin and Dr. Lynette Matea Camello, the newly-appointed Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

The University Director for Faculty Publications, Dr. Sunliegh Gador and University Director for Media and Communication Center, Dr. Rowanne Marie Maxilom shared their best practices in the former affiliation and employer, University of San Carlos, about the series of workshops they had conducted to encourage faculty members to make their manuscripts from theses, dissertations, and research projects become publishable articles for review and publication.

Dr. Gador discussed the Introduction, Methodology, Results and Discussion (IMRaD) format while Dr. Maxilom highlighted the steps in publishing the manuscripts with the IMRAD format.

The CAS faculty who volunteered to participate in the said writeshop. These faculty represented the different departments of the college.

Outputs of the faculty were assigned and collected in the succeeding days for critiquing before submission, review and publication. –Media and Communication Center/RRMM
