The Center for Communication and Media (CCM) initiated the capacity-building training program to upskill the faculty, students, and non-teaching staff across all campuses of Cebu Technological University. The activity aimed to produce website articles per campus to increase each campus’ web presence through using an easy website writing method and format through an online webinar dubbed “Website Article Writing Workshop Series (Part I) via zoom held on January 27, 2022.
Under the leadership of Dr. Cristie Ann L. Jaca, University Director for Communication and Media (CCM), the online workshop made it possible by choosing Prof. Bejay V. Bolivar, a teacher of Literature courses at the Department of English and Literary Students in CTU as a speaker. She shared her valuable knowledge regarding the event mentioned above.
A little more than 30 participants who attended the webinar heard and witnessed the Welcome Remarks of Dr. Hedeliza A. Pineda, OIC-Vice President of Academic Affairs. At the same time after that, Dr. Jaca introduced the speaker and stated the program’s Statement of Purpose.
The workshop was split into two sessions: morning and afternoon.
After hearing the morning session, Prof. Bolivar made a speaker-participant interaction where they were tasked with producing one article based on the scope of their areas of jurisdiction (campus) and presented it.
Dr. Adrian P. Ybañez, Vice-President for Research and Development, concluded the activity through Closing Remarks. He encouraged all the designates under the Center to do their best in their respective responsibilities as their effort will contribute much to the university’s internationally acknowledged status. Moreover, those who demonstrated well will also be recognized.
The Website Article Writing Workshop Series will be conducted monthly in conformance to elevate the quality of CTU Research Website written article that will constantly be uploaded based on the newsworthy achievements and activities of each campus. – Almie Mata / CTU-Main
