
Cebu Technological University Main-San Fernando Extension campus was one of the four (4) CTU campuses that received accreditation by the AACCUP last December 6-17, 2021, via a virtual platform.
The three (3) curricular programs were Bachelor in Industrial Technology major in Computer Technology (BIT-CT); Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEED), and the Bachelor of Technology Livelihood Education major in Home Economics (BTLEd-HE).
The CTU key officials and the AACCUP survey team graced the opening program on the morning of the first day, December 6.
Dr Joseph C. Pepito, director of the main campus, delivered the welcome address; after that, Dr Zandro O. Perez, director of the Moalboal campus, stated the statement of purpose.
Moreover, Dr Rosein A. Ancheta, Jr., the university president, gave his inspirational message. Lastly, Dr Emmanuel R. Magno, AACCUP coordinator, stated the overview of accreditation and the presentation of the survey team.
Dr Wilson M. Sayaboc, the university director for quality assurance, presented the university key officials followed by the presentation of the local accreditation task force, namely, Dr Imelda J. Villarin, Dean of Instruction, main campus, Dr Manolito D. Villarin, chairperson for quality assurance and dean of instruction of Barili campus, Dr Gilda G. Membrillos, chairperson for quality assurance of Moalboal campus and Engr. Evalinda A. Pelimer, campus director of the San Fernando campus.
Engr Pelimer introduced the campus local task force. While Prof. Wilfredo G. Anoos, the head of instruction/chairperson for College of Education and the registrar designates for the various areas, namely III, V and IX,
Prof. Stevie B. Manugas, chairman of the College of Technology, the HRMO designate and the NSTP coordinator and its campus director herself for the areas I, VI, VII, VIII and X.
The primary function of Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc. is to accredit curricular programs of the institution with different benefits.
It is composed of lending prestige to member institutions, justified by possessing quality standards and ongoing efforts to maintain them at a high level and help parents know which program they may send their children to quality education. Wilfredo G. Anoos/CTU–San Fernando
