CTU-Tuburan College of Technology Completed GAA-funded Extension Projects of 2021

In collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Technology completed two (2) GAA-funded community extension projects for 2021. The extension projects are CHILL (Computer Help on Instruction for Lifelong Learning) and ELEVATE (Experiential Learning towards Employment and Varied Actionable Technical Entrepreneurship).

The CHILL program has five (5) competencies: Basic Computer Diagnostic and Troubleshooting, Microsoft Office, Google Suite Productivity Applications, and Google Spreadsheet Integration to Google Classroom. ELEVATE program competencies are the Basic Computer Operation, Google Suite Productivity Application, Basic Internet Operations, and English Communication Skills Training. The opening program of training sessions started on November 4, 2021, via Zoom, while on January 26, 2022, was the closing program.

CHILL program beneficiaries are DepEd Teachers and ELEVATE beneficiaries are the job seekers in the Municipality of Tuburan. The implementing partners are the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Tuburan and DepEd. Despite the pandemic and the aftermath of typhoon Odette, the two extension programs are successful. The beneficiaries have recommended conducting phase 2 training to help more people in the community. /Jae-an V. Sarucam CTU-Tuburan
