CTU wins Gawad Edukampyon Award; obtain a reward from Rex Education

The Rex Education acknowledged the Bayanihan Spirit of Cebu Technological University during the surge of the covid-19 pandemic by giving the University the award on February 8, 2022, at the President’s Office.

The University was one of the finalists of Gawad Edukampyon 2021 Category 4: Excellence in Public Service Community Engagement chosen by the Commission on Higher Education.

A total of Php. 150,000 cash, Php. 50,000 worth of Tertiary books and Plaque and Certificates received by the University headed by Dr Rosein Ancheta, University President; Dr Edgar Tibay Vice-President for Production Extension and Business Affairs; Dr Lynnette Matea Camello, University Director for Extension Services; and Atty Marvey Arnoco-Ocampo, Chief Admin Officer. 

The turned over of awards by Rex Education was led by Regional Sales Manager – Visayas, Mr George Enrico Daytia with the Tertiary Material Advisors Ms Jennyvie Abapo and Mr Mark Gil Tampos. 

The ‘Amping Cebuano: Cebu Technological University’s COVID-19 Response Project (A Responsive University and a Concerned Cebuano Community, caring for Humanity) was an initiative of the institution to aid displaced Cebuanos, donating food for front liners and providing essentials for different health institutions across the Island. 

Gawad Edukampyon was launched in January 2021 by the Commission on Higher Education, Rex Education, and the Philippine Business for Social Progress which honours colleges and universities to implement blended learning schemes and community programs during the COVID-19 crisis. – Almie Mata / CTU – Main
