CTU-San Fernando campus adds new Certified Professional Teachers in 2022

Five of Cebu Technological University-San Fernando extension campus (CTU-SF) graduates had passed the Licensure Examination for Teacher (LET) administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), which they took and successfully passed last January 30, 2022.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in different variants, the nine (9) landfalls of the supper typhoon Odette “Rai”, particularly in the southern part of Cebu, where the campus is located, was never a hindrance in acquiring such accolade and may be worth pondering.

The newly LET passers of CTU-Main, San Fernando extension campus are as follows:

Ms Gina Orain; Mr Karl Marlon B. Labra; and Ms Shina Mae E. Bamboa, these three (3) were graduated Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Technology Livelihood Education with a specialization in Home Economics Technology (BSEd-TLE/HET). 

While the following two (2) graduated with Bachelor in Elementary Education, major in Content Education with the specialization in Technology Livelihood Education (BEED-CE/TLE), namely, Mr Jay T. Secuya; and Ms Mary Ann L. Barulo.

The five (5) passers are all first takes.

After getting a 100% LET passing percentage last September 2021 for the BEEd for the CTU-San Fernando extension, the campus now has a 66.66% LET passing percentage for the January 2022 examination result. 

There were no takers of secondary education last September 2021. However, this year, in January 2022, the BSEd takers of the extension campus got a 37.5% LET passing percentage.
