NSTP Directors conduct university-wide strategic planning and capability building

To ensure that the strategies and activities of the NSTP programs are aligned to attain the university’s target goals, the National Service Training Program (NSTP) of Cebu Technological University conducts a university-wide NSTP Strategic Planning and Capability Building on April 6-8, 2020 at St. Mark Hotel, Queens Road, Redemptorist Compound, Camputhaw, Cebu City.

The objectives of the activity are to achieve the following; conduct training on budgeting and strategic planning, create plans for NSTP for the AY 2022-2023 and strengthen the capability of the NSTP key officials.

The three-day planning and capability building is packed with meaningful and substantial discussions on all issues and concerns.

Notable guest speakers were all well-versed in delivering their topics. Speaker from the Philippine Society of NSTP Educators and Implementers, Major Hermie Pava, PSNEI President, shares with the participants on NSTP updates, CMU NSTP best practices, and DRRM integration in the NSTP Implementation.

Personnel from the Philippine Army also graced the event, sharing on Army ROTC Program in the New Normal and speaking on an army reservist’s benefits and advantages.

On the other hand, Dr Christine Joy Tomol, from Argao Campus, educates the NSTP Directors on the new trend in downloading serial numbers for each enrolled student in the NSTP Program.

Dr Adrian P. Ybanez, Vice President for Research and Development, shared important news that Cebu Technological University has been ranked in this year’s THE Impact Rankings. He inspired all the participants by encouraging them to have an impact on their work by being the NSTP Implementers and Educators of their respective campuses.

Through the collective ideas of the participants spearheaded by the University Director for Community Welfare-Prof. Julius O. Basallo and Assistant University Director for CW- Engr. Asuncion Monsanto, crafting the Operational Plan, Budget Plan, Annual Plan, and Official NSTP Logo are made possible.
