CAS Shares HEART to RRCY Phase 3: MOA Signing and Launching Ceremony

The MOA Signing and Launching Ceremony of the “CAS Shares HEART” program highlighted Cebu Technological University-Argao’s commitment to innovation and social responsibility through community engagement. By collaborating with the Regional Rehabilitation Center for the Youth (RRCY), the program integrates holistic approaches in Human Kinetics, Emotional Wellness, Arts, Reading, and Technology to empower and rehabilitate marginalized youth. This initiative exemplifies sustainable community development by fostering resilience, education, and growth among its beneficiaries.

On July 12, 2024, the MOA signing and launching ceremony for the “CAS Shares HEART” program occurred at the RRCY Covered Court in Argao, Cebu. Attended by RRCY Center Head Aileen G. Cuevas, Dr. Luiscel Teofi E. Cabico, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Marcelina S. Deiparine, Chairman, BAEL, Dr. April G. Sales, CAS Extension Coordinator and Dr. Ma. Cristilina Montanez, Chair, BALit. The event formalized the partnership aimed at benefiting the youth rehabilitated at RRCY. The program seeks to empower and engage the youth in holistic activities to enhance their physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being while preparing them for reintegration into society.

The MOA signing symbolizes a shared commitment and sustainable community development strategies to creating impactful changes in the lives of the Children in Conflict With The Law at RRCY. The “CAS Shares HEART” initiative showcases the university’s dedication to community service and meaningful collaborations. With this program, CTU-Argao, notably the College of Arts and Sciences, hopes to inspire hope, growth, and resilience among its beneficiaries.
