On October 7-8, 2024, Cebu Technological University (CTU) – Office of the Vice President for Research and Development through the Office for University Research Ethics hosted a groundbreaking event titled “Futures of Academic Institutions: Advancing Ethical Standards in Research” at One Central Hotel. This two-day seminar workshop sought to empower faculty researchers with the knowledge and tools to uphold ethical principles in their research proposals, particularly in line with the university’s call for GAA proposals.
To provide expert guidance, the event featured highly esteemed speakers from the Central Visayas Consortium for Health Research and Development (CVCHRD). Their discussions offered valuable insights on navigating the ethical review process and integrating ethics into research design. Interactive sessions further enabled participants to refine their proposals, aligning them with institutional, national, and global ethical standards.
As CTU continues to champion ethical research practices, events like these highlight the institution’s role as a leader in academic integrity and innovation.
