Unveiling of ATBI Markers and Technology Fair in CTU Main Campus

In a groundbreaking event highlighting the latest advancements in food technology and innovation, the Cebu Technological University (CTU) Main Campus hosted the unveiling of the ATBI Markers and Technology Fair. The event, which took place in CTU Main Campus, brought together experts, students, and industry leaders from across the region to showcase products and technology.

The fair’s main attraction on October 29, 2024, was the display of the products and technology of the ATBI Incubatees and the unveiling of markers, a cutting-edge development that promises to revolutionize the study. The marker symbolizes fostering collaboration between incubators, experts, and incubatees to create new potential applications for the technology, ranging from food to devices. Developed by a team of researchers and students at CTU, the ATBI marker is poised to become a valuable reminder for improving technology products and gaining more business ventures. This can be found at the Science and Technology Building, 2nd Floor of the Office of the Vice President of Research and Development office, near the Learning Commons.ย 

Dr. Adrian P. Ybanez, CTUโ€™s Vice President for Research, emphasizes the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and advancing scientific knowledge. “This event is a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of our faculty, students, and partners. The ATBI markers and the projects showcased today underscore our universityโ€™s role as a leader in cutting-edge research and technology,” he stated. The event was supported by the University President, Dr. Joseph Pepito, and the DOST Regional Director, Engr. Jesus F. Zamora Jr., CESO III, and patronized the products themselves.

In addition to the unveiling of the ATBI markers, the Technology Fair featured numerous exhibits of food products, which showed the opportunity to demonstrate research utilization, engage with industry representatives, and forge new partnerships. The fair also included brief technology pitching, offering valuable insights into the latest trends and future technology directions. The presence of small-medium entrepreneurs made a remarkable contribution to showing product innovation and plans of investments for product protection of its intellectual properties.

The ATBI Markers and Technology Fair was a significant milestone for CTU, showcasing the university’s growing role in advancing research and technology in the Philippines. As the event concluded, many expressed optimism for the future of innovation at CTU, with hopes that the ATBI markers and similar projects will help elevate the institution’s standing in the global scientific community.
