Dr. Ryan C. Urbano
University Director
Dr. Ryan C. Urbano is the University Director for Research and Development. He is an Associate Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, Cebu Technological University.
He obtained his M.A. in Philosophy (1998) and Ph.D. Philosophy (2010) at the University of San Carlos, Cebu City. He also holds an M.A. in Applied Ethics as an Erasmus Mundus scholar from Utrecht University, The Netherlands and Linkoping University, Sweden (2008).
In April to October 2011, he did doctoral research on environmental ethics at Monash University, Australia. He was chosen to participate in the week-long Elite Scholar Conference on Humanistic Buddhism in Taiwan in April 2012. In 2017, he attended the UNESCO Ethics Teachers’ Training Course at the Bioethics Center of the University of Otago, New Zealand. He was a visiting fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies (“Justitia Amplificata”) at Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 2019 and was selected to participate in the 2019 KAICIID (King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue) International Fellows Programme for South and Southeast Asia Region based in Vienna, Austria. Since 2019, he is a member of the pool of experts of Globethics.net based in Geneva, Switzerland. His research interests are in the areas of applied ethics, political philosophy and philosophy of religion.
Dr. Jonathan C. Maglasang
University Director
Dr. Jonathan Maglasang is a University Director and a Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cebu Technological University (CTU). As the University Director for University Grants Administration, Dr. Maglasang assists the University Vice-President for Research, Development, and Extension (VP-RDE) to rationalize the processing and implementation of grants financial support for research and development in the University. He is also engaged in promoting CTU as a national and international research collaborating center. Before joining CTU in August 2019, Dr. Maglasang was a faculty member since 1994, with various designations and functions, of the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) in Iligan City.
Dr. Maglasang has advised and mentored several undergraduates, master’s, and doctoral students in their research work. He is a research collaborator for local and foreign-funded research projects. He obtained his MS and Ph.D. (Engineering) degrees in Aeronautics & Astronautics (Aerospace Engineering) from Kyushu University, Japan in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and his BS Mechanical Engineering degree from MSU-IIT in 1994.
His interests include performance enhancements of wind, gas, and hydraulic turbines, high-density renewable energy systems for small island communities, aerial, terrain, and underwater robotics, flapping, rotary, and fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), wing-in-surface effect (WISE) vehicles for rapid and efficient inter-island transportation, indigenous and hybrid rocket propulsion systems, data acquisitions systems and instrumentations, biomimetics, and other applied aeronautics and astronautics.
Dr. Leodivino A. Lawas
University Director
Dr. Leodivino A. Lawas is an associate professor of the Information Communication Technology Department under the College of Technology. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Master of Science in Industrial Technology, and Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Management. Pursuing capstone study and completed academic requirements in Master in Information Technology and his second Master’s Degree Program. He is currently a member of the Philippine Institute of Computer Engineers, Philippines Society of Information Technology Educators and International Association of Engineers. Has made some Industrial Design for IPOPHIL and is one of the Support Officers in the Innovation Technology Office.
Engr. Christine Omela V. Ocampo
University Director
Engr. Christine Omela Ocampo has worked at Cebu Technological University (CTU) Danao since 2017. She obtained her Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering at the University of San Carlos, Technological Center last 2014 and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in the University of San Carlos Technological Center last 2010. She is currently taking up her Doctor of Philosophy in Management (Candidate). She was formerly designated as Chairman for the Department of Industrial Engineering in CTU Danao. She has been an associate member of the National Research Council of the Philippines since 2018. She worked as a quality assurance engineer and production control engineer in Muramoto Audio-Visual, Inc., Phils. And Cebu Microelectronics Inc., respectively.
Dr. Edgardo P. Lillo
University Director
Dr. Edgardo P. Lillo was designated as the University Director for RDE Centers. He is a Professor IV in the College of Forestry, Cebu Technological University. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in the Visayas State College of Agriculture, obtained his Master’s Degree in Forestry at Visayas State University and pursued his Doctorate degree in Philosophy at Cebu State College of Science and Technology in Main last 2007. He further pursued his Doctor of Philosophy in Forestry last 2017 at the University of Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), Laguna Campus. He was chosen to participate in Flora and Fauna Assessment Using Permanent Biodiversity Monitoring System (PBMS) in Cebu Island Key Biodiversity Areas (KBA) as a project staff of CTU-DOST-NICER funded by the DOST-Grant-In-Aid under the Science-4-Change Program of the Department of Science and Technology. He authored and co-authored several research and published papers in local, national, and international peer-reviewed journals and has several citations.
Dr. Allemar Jhone P. Delima
University Director
Dr. Allemar Jhone P. Delima currently works at Cebu Technological University (CTU) as the University Director for Scientific Publications. He is also the Graduate School Director of CTU Barili. He obtained his Doctor in Information Technology (DIT) degree at the Technological Institute of the Philippines-Quezon City in 2019. He finished his teacher certificate curriculum (TCC) program in 2017 and received his masters degree in information technology in 2016 and bachelor of science degree in information technology in 2014 from Surigao State College of Technology (SSCT). His research interest is in Data Mining. To date, he has presented several research papers in various international conferences. He has also published several research papers in indexed international journals. In addition, he is an active technical reviewer of several Scopus-indexed international journals.
Engr. Maria Elena A. Aparente, MSME
University Director
Engr. Maria Elena A. Aparente completed her degree in Industrial Engineering from USJR and became the Operation and Control - Unit Head for eleven (11) years at the Paper Industries Corporation of the Philippines. She continued her experience for six (6) years as an Operation Manager Administrative Assistant in the Computer Division, Rhine Corporation and became Operation Head in certain departments of Sportsmaster International, Inc and AT Lorenzo, LTD for four (4) and two ( 2) years respectively. Hired in CTU last 2008 and completed her Master of Science in Management Engineering in UV and became former chairman of IE Department, recently chairperson in Extension Service Office and PMT for College of Engineering. Currently, she is doing her doctoral dissertation in Technology Management.
Dr. Lolita V. Velita
University Director
Technology Business Incubation and Development (TBID)
Dr. Lolita Velita is the University Director for Technology Business Incubation. She is a resident College Professor at the Business Administration Department of Cebu Technological University. She is also currently designated as the Chair of the Business Administration Department and Chair of Research and Development of the College of Management and Entrepreneurship. She is a Business Consultant and Trainer. She conducts business seminars, training and workshops.
She has a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration (DBA). She is also a PRC Licensed Real Estate Broker and Real Estate Appraiser.
Her research interests are in Marketing, Management, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management, Real Estate, Operation, Tourism, Social Entrepreneurship and Technopreneurship.
