Dr. Lanndon A. Ocampo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering
at Cebu Technological University, Philippines. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering
from De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines, and his MEng in Industrial Engineering from
the University of San Carlos, Philippines under the DOST-ERDT graduate scholarship grants.
Dr. Ocampo also received his BSc degree in Industrial Engineering (cum laude) from the
University of San Carlos under the DOST undergraduate scholarship grant. He has authored
over 90 international peer-reviewed publications which include 81 journal articles, a book
chapter, and 8 published conference proceedings. He has presented papers at over 30
conferences and is a regular reviewer of more than 30 international peer-reviewed, indexed
journals in industrial and production engineering, decision science, management science, and
manufacturing research. His research interests include optimization, systemic risk analysis,
multiple attribute decision making, and sustainable manufacturing. He is currently the Editor-in-
Chief of the International Journal of Applied Industrial Engineering, an Associate Editor of the
Recoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal, and a Member of the Editorial Board of the
Advances in Production Engineering and Management, International Journal of Business and
Systems Research, International Journal of Management and Decision Making, Proceedings in
Manufacturing Systems, and the International Journal of Fuzzy System Applications. His
publications appeared in prestigious journals such as the Journal of Manufacturing Systems,
Ecological Indicators, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Soft Computing, Socio-
Economic Planning Sciences, Applied Ergonomics, Journal of Air Transport Management,
Advances in Production Engineering and Management, Engineering Management Journal,
International Journal of Sustainable Engineering, Asian Academy of Management Journal,
among other journals. He won numerous awards from the DOST-Science and Education

Institute for completing the PhD, the DOST for the National Award for Excellence in Science, the
Mathematical Society of the Philippines Cebu for Best Research Paper in Applied Mathematics
during the 2015 MSP Cebu Convention, the International Association on Organizational
Innovation for the Outstanding Paper Award during the 2014 International Conference on
Organizational Innovation, the Fairchild Semiconductor for the 2012 Best Paper Award, and
several International Publication Awards from the University of the Philippines. He is a 2017
Outstanding Young Scientist in the field of Industrial Engineering awarded by the National
Academy of Science and Technology, Philippines “in recognition of his significant contributions
to both theory and practice of manufacturing sustainability and risk analysis, crucial points of
interest for Philippine manufacturing and supply chain sector in view of climate change. He
developed guidelines for manufacturing companies, both large firms and SMEs, in carrying out
strategic planning for competitiveness within the context of sustainability”. He is named as one
of 2018 THE ASIAN SCIENTIST 100 – an annual listing of the region’s top researchers,
academics and innovators. He is frequently featured in the PREMIER – the official magazine of
Cebu Technological University – as one of the rising scientists with funded research projects
from the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Tourism, and the Commission
on Higher Education. Dr. Ocampo was awarded as a 2018 Ten Outstanding Cebuano Awardee
in the field of Science and Technology. Most recently, he is conferred as the 2019 Achievement
Awardee of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) under the Division of
Engineering and Industrial Research. He is a Regular Member of the National Research Council
of the Philippines (NRCP), a Director of Mathematical Society of the Philippines Cebu, and a
member of the International Society of Multiple Criteria Decision Making, Industrial Engineering
& Operations Management Society, International Association of Engineers, Mathematical
Society of the Philippines, Philippine Association of Research Managers, Inc., Outstanding
Young Scientists, Inc., and Alpha Phi Omega International (Philippines), Inc.
