Dr. Adrian Ybanez received the Best Paper Awards during the Research and Development Symposium of the Central Visayas Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources Research and Development Consortium (CVAARRDEC) on October 25, 2019. The symposium was held at the Pavillion, Panda Tes Garden Suites, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Dr. Ybanez presented two papers during the symposium. The first paper is titled “First molecular detection of Mycoplasma wenyonii and the ectoparasite biodiversity in dairy water buffalo and cattle in Bohol, Philippines. This project was published in the Parasitology International Parasitology International, volume # 70 and pages 77–81 at the following link: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.parint.2019.02.004. Dr. Ybanez won the 1st Place in Research Category in this paper.
His co-authors are Rochelle Haidee D. Ybañez, Reynald Klint M. Armonia, James Knowell E. Chico, Kevin James V. Ferraren, Emerson P. Tapdasan, Caro B. Salces, Bon Christian A. Maurilloe, Eloiza May S. Galon, Adrian Miki C. Macalanda, Paul Franck A. Moumounic, and Xuenan Xuanc who are from the universities of the Philippines and Japan.
The second paper, “Development of a Modified Paperfuge for Field Diagnosis of Anemia in Cebu, Philippines, was published in CTU’s Journal of Agriculture and Technology Management (JATM) in July-December 2017 Issue. He collaborated with his co-authors, James Knowell Chico, Paul Franck Adjou Moumoni and Xuenan Xuan. In this paper, Dr. Ybanez received the 3rd Place in Technology Category.
The theme of this symposium is “Fostering partnership in Agriculture, Aquatic, Forestry and Natural Resources (AANC).
Hence, the symposium aimed to share the research accomplishments and generated technologies of the institutions to the students, farmers, clients and interested researchers through paper presentations.-rmmm/ccmr
