Center for Applied Mathematics and Operations Research (CAMOR)

The Center for Applied Mathematics and Operations Research (CAMOR) aims to spearhead research, collaboration, and dissemination of relevant cutting-edge tools to address pressing problems in the local region and help promote some policy- and decision-making. The establishment of CAMOR highlights the University’s agenda for being a research hub in research and collaboration among stakeholders and higher education institutions in interdisciplinary pursuits.

VISION

The Center for Applied Mathematics (CAMOR) is a regional research center that promotes interdisciplinary research works grounded on concepts in applied mathematics and operations research to address pressing problems in various sectors of society.

MISSION

The Center for Applied Mathematics (CAMOR) is a community of researchers, educators, learners, and leaders facilitating and collaborating high-impact research works in solving pressing problems involving the academe, industry, environment, and the society on the use of concepts and tools in applied mathematics and operations research.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

The Center for Applied Mathematics and Operations search aims to:

Thrive to conduct and spearhead high-impact research and scientific publications in applied mathematics and operations research;

Head the decision support in policy-making relating to issues and problems about systems that require analytical tools in applied mathematics and operations research;

Initiate an avenue for the proliferation and dissemination of the significant utilization of applied mathematics and operations;

Necessitate the enhancement of the current curriculum and courses and fund researches involving applied mathematics and operations research from neighboring regional Higher Education Institutions (HEIs); and,

Kick-start and promote interdisciplinary approaches and collaboration among HEIs and stakeholders to address pressing problems using applied mathematics and operations research tools.
