CHED DARE TO
The center director of the IMGPVBD is a recipient of CHED DARE TO grant worth 15 million as the leading proponent of the program titled, “Productivity and biosecurity of small-scale (backyard) poultry layer and backyard native chickens in Central Visayas, Philippines.” It has been included in the study extension program/services such as:
Farm Consultancy, wherein the proponent provided poultry layer farmers recommendation for farm productivity, animal health, and address environmental issues (management and biosecurity);
Fecalysis, wherein it will determine what kind of gastrointestinal parasites are present on poultry layer chickens;
DNA Extraction from animal blood samples; and
Polymerase Chain Reaction is used for disease diagnosis (such as viruses in poultry layers).
