University Director for University Research, Development and Extension Centers and Institutes (RDECI)
The Office shall carry out research activities specific to its mandate. It is tasked to produce projects, reports, publications and other scientific outputs. It shall maintain close coordination with the academic units that cater to its mandated scientific field to support instructions.
THE UD-RDECI is a university-level position that is appointed by the President through the recommendation of the Vice-President for Research and Development. The UD-RDECI shall assist the VPRD in the implementation and management of activities related to the RDE Centers. Its core functions shall include the following: 1) Spearhead the establishment of RDE Centers/Institutes in the University; 2) Monitor the performance and activities of the RDE Centers/Institutes; 3) Facilitate the concerns and needed capability trainings of the RDE Centers/Institutes; 4) Assists in the grant application, linkages and collaboration of the different RDE Centers/Institutes; 5) Ensure the accomplishment of targets of different RDE Centers/Institutes; 6) Facilitate in rendering harmonized and relevant community extension activities of the RDE Centers/Institutes; 7) Ensure alignment of RDE Center/Institutes Activities with University Programs and Agenda; 8) Check financial management of the RDE Centers/Institutes; 9) Attend RDE council meetings; and 10) Perform other relevant functions as the need arises as deemed necessary by the Vice-President for Research and Development or the President.

MISSION
The University shall primarily provide advanced professional and technical instruction for special purposes, advanced studies in industrial trade, agriculture, fishery, forestry, aeronautics, and land-based programs, arts and sciences, health sciences, information technology and other relevant fields of study. It shall also undertake research and extension services and provide progressive leadership in its areas of specialization.
GOALS
By the end of 2024, CTU will be globally recognized for its quality.
Specifically, it will:
obtain a Philippine university system status with a CHED SUC Level V recognition;
be Ranked among the Top 10 Universities in the Philippines;
be included in the list of internationally recognized ranking of universities (Quacquarelli Symonds, Times Higher Education);
be adept with the trends of the latest industrial revolution.
R and D GOALS
The Research and Development of the University will:
develop a deep research and innovation culture;
provide quality research and development programs that are attuned to the needs of the community in various disciplines;
produce research outputs that can alleviate or help mitigate existing local, regional and national challenges; and
promote the dissemination of university research and innovation outputs in reputable scientific journals and its utilization by the stakeholders.
