Dr. Sheilalaine G. Romulo is a faculty of the Department of Languages and Literature of the College of Arts and Sciences, Cebu Technological University Main Campus. She joined CTU in 2017 and was designated in the same year as the College Secretary. After her two-year stint as College Secretary, she was designated as the University for Research Ethics Office and the Chair of the University and the Chair of the University Research Ethics Committee. She also served as the University Director for Gender and Development for a one-year term and initiated the creation of the CTU GAD Focal Point System, the engendering the curricular offerings of the University and the drafting of the GAD Policies and Guidelines. At present, she holds the designation as Director of the Center for Social Innovation (CSI).
She earned her graduate programs, Master of Arts in Education and Doctor of Education in English Language Teaching from Cebu Normal University and her Baccalaureate degrees, Bachelor of Art in Political Science, Bachelor of Arts in English with Applied Linguistics from the University of San Carlos. She has units in the Bachelor of Laws and Master of Public Administration.
Her research interest includes phenomenology, language and gender, and discourse analysis
Prof. Shaira Eve Villamora

Prof. Shaira Eve Villamora is currently a member of the University Research Ethics Committee and a professor of the College of Arts and Sciences teaching Psychology and Social Sciences.
She graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Cum Laude) . She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical.
Field of Research Interest: Psychology, Social Science, Test / Standardized Psychometric Test Development, Social Innovation.
Dr. Ryan C. Urbano

Dr. Ryan C. Urbano is the University Director for Research and Development. He is an Associate Professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, Cebu Technological University.
He obtained his M.A. in Philosophy (1998) and Ph.D. Philosophy (2010) at the University of San Carlos, Cebu City. He also holds an M.A. in Applied Ethics as an Erasmus Mundus scholar from Utrecht University, The Netherlands and Linkoping University, Sweden (2008).
From April to October 2011, he did doctoral research on environmental ethics at Monash University, Australia. He was chosen to participate in the week-long Elite Scholar Conference on Humanistic Buddhism in Taiwan in April 2012. In 2017, he attended the UNESCO Ethics Teachers’ Training Course at the Bioethics Center of the University of Otago, New Zealand. He was a visiting fellow at the Center for Advanced Studies (“Justitia Amplificata”) at Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 2019 and was selected to participate in the 2019 KAICIID (King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue) International Fellows Programme for South and Southeast Asia Region based in Vienna, Austria. Since 2019, he is a member of the pool of experts of Globethics.net based in Geneva, Switzerland. His research interests are in the areas of applied ethics, political philosophy and philosophy of religion.
Dr. Raamah C. Rosales

He started as a part-time instructor in October 2013 at the College of Arts and Sciences, Cebu Technological University (CTU) Main Campus. He was teaching science related subjects for Senior High School and College students. He became a Research Assistant at the Integrated Coastal Resources Management Center (ICRMC) Office on June 2015. He was accepted as full-time faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences on June 2017 under the Pure Sciences Department.
He finished his bachelor’s degree in Biology in 1998 at the University of the Visayas. He proceeded with a Bachelor of Laws at the same institution in 2006. He was granted a scholarship by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) for his Master’s degree in Biology program at the University of San Carlos Talamban Campus, Cebu City and finished it in 2015. He proceeded with his PHD Degree in Biology at the same institution under the DOST scholarship program and graduated in December 2019.
He continued to work on coastal vulnerability assessment in coastal communities along the northern part of Cebu Island. He has established partnerships with local governments units, University of San Carlos – Biology Department and JPIC – IDC (Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation – Integrated Development Center, Inc.) for the implementation of a project entitled “Adaptation to climate change and enhancement of the resilience of small – scale fishers from 12 villages in Bogo Bay, Cebu Philippines”. He is also involved in a CHED – DARE TO project with the Visayas State University on “Marine Biodiversity Conservation in Camotes and Cuatro Islands, Camotes Sea, Central Philippines for Sustainable Marine Economy”.
Prof. Jonash Durano

He holds designations as University Research Ethics Reviewer and Director of the Research and Development Center for Social Innovation, with accepted research funding (500k) from Central Visayas Consortium for Health Research and Development for a research project on: “Developing a Tool to Measure the Decision-Making Processes in Sex Practices among Men-who-have-sex-with-men Anchored on Protection Motivation Theory”; researcher in a CTU Funded Research (250k) on Food Safety Knowledge and Practices Among Streetfood Vendors
His professional experience commenced as a College Guidance Counselor, then as a University Psychometrician at USPF while being an Instructor for Psychology related subjects. He was briefly employed in the hospitality industry as a Training Officer at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa. Then, he became a Human Resource Officer at the Cebu Technological University, before getting back to the teaching profession as a Psychology Professor.
He obtained his graduate degree as Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling at Cebu Normal University (CNU) with the thesis: “Effects of Logotherapy on Students Motivation” accepted in conferences of USPF’s Colloquium on Research Excellence, DLSU’s Action Research Action Learning, Psychological Association of the Philippines, Gestalt Wellness Institute Southeast Asia and the Asian Association of Social Psychology; and published on the Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association – The Guidance Journal.
Prof. Esperanza del Fierro

Currently, she is an Assistant Professor III at the Department of Math and Science, College of Education of the Cebu Technological University Main Campus. She is an Inspection Officer for Medicine and Chemicals of the Campus Director's Office and a University Research Ethics Committee Member under the Office of the VP for Research and Development. She is an affiliate faculty researcher of the Institute of Food Science, Innovation and Technopreneurship, Main Campus, and the DOST-NICER (Biodiversity Projects) of CTU Argao.
She has been involved in GAA-funded researches and participated in external funding initiatives for DOST-PCHRD, DOST-CVCHRD, and DOST-PCAARRD. Her research interest is environmental science, food science/microbiology, animal science, and biodiversity. She has also presented papers in local and international conferences, has some utility models, and with publications on the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) and ISI Scopus Index Journals.
She is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Biology and Master of Science in Biology from Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT). She is a member of the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), Asian Association for Biology Education, Philippine Society for Microbiology, Inc., Philippine Association for Teacher Education, and of Biology Teachers Association of the Philippines, Inc.
