University Director for Technology Business Incubator and Development (UD-TBID)
The Social Technopreneurship Hub is a Technology Business Incubator of Cebu Technological University. Our primary goal is to provide research, capacity building and advisory programs and services to Faculty, Students, Start-ups, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), government, private and other stakeholders, thereby, creating an innovation ecosystem that flourishes Social Technopreneurial activities for nation-building and a sustainable world.
UD TBID is a university-wide administrative position that is appointed by the President. The UD-TBID shall assist the VPRD in the development of TBIs. Also, the UD-TBID will be mainly responsible for the supervision, implementation and monitoring of all the functions of the OTBID.
Responsible for the supervision, implementation and monitoring of all the Technology Business Incubators of the University, including the services implemented by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Development (VPRD) and VP-PEBA. Specifically, UD-TBID shall:
Represent Office of the Technology Business Incubation and Development (OTBID) in the RD council and other functions inside and outside the university as may be approved by the VPRD or University President;
Spearhead the development of TBIs with CTU;
Ensure the ethical integrity of CTU TBIs;
Manage the growth, development and planning strategies, and oversee the daily functions and operations of the UREO.
Prepare and submit reports as required by the VPRD and/or University President;
Make communication letters as deemed vital for the operation of OTBID;
Prepare and updates TBI records;
Coach entrepreneurs and start-up companies on business development, research, strategies and management on the following:
Feasibility Study
Business Plan
Business Research
Marketing Plan
Inventory Management
Strategic Management
Other business development processes and strategies
Provide mentoring to entrepreneurs for idea generation, acceleration, investment and scale-up stage.
Provide high-quality coaching and strategic guide in business modeling, marketing, finance and operation.
Develop and implement new initiatives for incubation service offerings to entrepreneurs and start-ups.
Coordinate with all CTU RDE centers and incubators.
Organize events to facilitate collaboration, technology tie-up, and business development.
Develop and manage a network of students, entrepreneurs, start-ups, mentors, institutions, funding agencies, investors and industries;
Develop the TBIs of the university in terms of local and international equity;
Prepare and submit reports as required by VPRD;
Make communication/justification letters as instructed by superiors;
Coordinate the implementation of TBIs; and
Perform related tasks as may be assigned by the VPRD and/or University President.
