CTU SFEC Alumnae is GMA’s The Clash Season 3 Grand Champion

Cebu Technological University (CTU) San Fernando Ignites as the Ceremonial Student Orientation and Oath Taking 2019 took place. September 6, 2019, marked one of the most highlighted activities of the school, the Student’s General Orientation, and Oath Taking Ceremony. It is a two-part activity of the school.

The first part of the activity started with a solemn mass. It was held in the San Fernando Sports Complex presided by Rev. Fr. Msgr. Alfredo “Boboi” Romanillos of San Isidro Labrador Parish. The mass was filled with genuine emotions as it was also offered for the departed soul of a CTU student. The second part of the program started at around 2 in the afternoon hosted by one of the multi-talented pride of CTU San Fernando, Mr. Danebeb Alfeche Alingalan.

To officially begin the program and to give the warmest opening remarks is the Head of Instruction of CTU San Fernando, Mr. Wilfredo G. Anoos. Students were given a heads up on the upcoming milestones to be achieved by the Cebu Technological University. Guest speaker Hon. Lakambini G. Reluya, Municipal Mayor of San Fernando paid a little look back on the situation of the school back then and up to the development it has in the present. The mayor also spoke about the development of the ongoing construction of a two-story school building for the CTU San Fernando which was made possible through the different sectors of the government. Before ending the speech, The mayor of San Fernando leaves the students a challenge to continue to create a positive culture for CTU San Fernando so they will be known for excellence and discipline. Engr. Evalinda A. Pelimer, San Fernando OIC – Campus Director provided students a sense of optimism as she voiced out the current goal of the University, which is to be included in the QS ranking. The Campus Director ended the speech with an uplifting message, verbatim: “Together we can bring pride for the CTU San Fernando.” Other guest speakers, Mrs. Maria Girliena G. Curso from the Office of the Registrar Main Campus and Mr. Irvin A. Narsico, SAO/ Scholarship Coordinator gave a brief outlook on the significant points that the freshmen should know.

The invited guest speakers were given recognition for their participation in the said activity. Campus Journalists for the year 2019 were also given recognition as they brought pride to the school last August 29-30, 2019.
After the recognition, classroom officers and organization officers took their oath to assume their duties as chosen leaders. The program ended through an effective wrap-up by the SSC Adviser, Mr. Stevie Manugas./Alkenna Georgette T. Papas
