Cultural Mapping Exhibit celebrates the Rich Heritage of San Fernando

Cebu Technological University–San Fernando Extension Campus brought the heritage of its host town to life with a captivating Cultural Mapping Exhibit themed “Rediscovering Our Roots: Celebrating the Heritage of San Fernando Barangays” on June 9, 2025.

Led by second–year Bachelor of Elementary Education Day students under the guidance of Mr. Stevie Manugas, the exhibit spotlighted the unique traditions, stories, and heritage of all 21 barangays in San Fernando. Its goal was to preserve and celebrate the town’s rich history, heritage, and values while fostering a sense of pride within the local community.

The event was graced by faculty and staff, including Mr. Marvin S. Canque, Mrs. Eleanor M. Gonzales, Mr. Wilfredo G. Anoos, and Mr. Felex N. Tangal, who came to show their full support. This initiative reflects the campus’s strong commitment to connecting with the community and safeguarding its cultural heritage.

Through this immersive and educational experience, students gained a deeper understanding of their roots and shared this heritage with the wider community, reinforcing collective pride in the beauty, richness, and traditions of San Fernando.
